What SO frustrating about church is that one week they will tell you a message like this. That climbing the worldly latter to success and financial status is bad and opposed to Jesus’s calling for you. Then the next week they will say that to be a man, you must go out into the world and be a leader and provide for your family abundantly. If he is not showering his wife with gifts, he is not worthy of her.

This sermon hit home. Everything he mentioned, I’m going through. It’s a battle in mind.. I been fighting jesus, instead of giving up things that I worry about that are not going to give me life.. I got emotional watching this and with power of prayer I’m done fighting. I give my all to Christ. I love you Lord.

Cant focus on yourself and be in the light 👍

Hello Pastor I’ve been listening to you since your Porch days with David.. I didn’t take heed to your message about beautiful wedding horrible anniversary. With that said my wife Benita and I are both Christians but wasn’t faithful with it. Before and after marriage In september 2023 I became hungry for the Word listening everyday studying praying. After marriage I started seeing more and more wrong with following the things of the world which put a strain on my marriage. Recently we separated and I’ve been doing all to stay thinking it’s God’s design but it’s been hard. You mentioned narcissists in this message but my wife claims she has detachment disorder which she self diagnosed. Also she says she doesn’t do anything or have not done anything wrong even when I admit to be wrong she will never . I asking for prayers for our marriage and growth in the word of God for both of us…

This verse is part of a chapter where Solomon, the wisest man, shares advice on gaining a good reputation, avoiding danger, and more. The message is clear: it's better to be known for morality and integrity than to be wealthy and associated with sin. The Bible encourages us to maintain good reputations whenever possible, as they are built over time based on how others evaluate our life choices and behavior. So, let's ditch the theatrics - you don't need to yell to get your point across. Did Jesus ever yell when teaching? It doesn't make your words more right. Being a pastor doesn't mean everything you say is correct. You're not superior or inferior.

Everybody trying to “prove themselves” or “prove something about someone else” in some shape or form. “The prove it generation”. In Christianity…..how many scriptures you need to memorize to be the “better” Christian, when you don’t apply them? Perfect attendance at church….just to say you went, but your heart of far from the Lord….the heart, Motive, the intentions. Great sermon 👍

Amen Pastor. Its too easy to. divorce. I believe many marriage could be worked out if they would separate for a time of prayer and let their hutrs heal. The problem is that when people separate, a third party gets involved and steals affection.
